You know, the biggest thing on my radar right now is the over load of water Mississippi is experiencing. Couple this with the recent success in the demise of Osama Bin Laden, I am feeling rather patriotic and steadfast in my environment!
Let's be honest, even after all the corruption surfaced regarding ties between Pakistan and the US about the war on terror. To see or hear about the death of Bin Laden, was like a weight lifted off my shoulder. It's a matter of our nation's ambition.
Flip the script over to the disaster with the Mississippi River. I've been following it since the Military's decision to blow up one of the levies about a week prior. That was a tough decision!
The common theme here? Decision making! Now, I may not ever have to make a decision that's going to directly affect the lives of so many people in such a short period of time. However, the statement that is to be drawn from these events, spanning back to '9/11', is remarkable. It's about integrity, resting assured your decision is correct; and commitment, sticking to your decision and continuously pushing forward.
These are the qualities I want to see when I look at an American. Our President, Mayors, Soldiers, and School Teachers are prime examples of American citizens. My perspective will indicate that, despite any disaster we have encountered, we have always been able to pull through. Steadfastness.
